D&T Workshop Technician
The City of Norwich School – An Ormiston Academy is an exciting, forward thinking Academy with high expectations for all its staff and students. We are seeking to appoint a committed and conscientious D&T Technician who is able to work without direct supervision to support the teaching and learning of Product Design within the D&T Department.
The role of D&T Technician will involve setting up practical classroom teaching, preparing materials and maintaining workshops specifically with woodwork and metalwork machines and equipment, as well as occasionally working with individual students and small groups. The ideal candidate will have recent experience of working within a similar role, or have qualifications in joinery and metalwork, and an expertise in setting up machines and using tools. Knowledge and experience of CAD/CAM equipment would be a desirable skill.
Training will be provided, and all support staff at CNS are involved in a review and development process. CNS has high aspirations for all its staff and students and provides excellent support, both professionally and personally.
