Teacher of Design and Technology

We wish to appoint a teacher of Design and Technology in September 2018. This is a permanent appointment and suitable for an experienced or newly-qualified teacher. The successful applicant will inspire our students, have a passion for teaching and be committed to raising standards. This role is split between Retford Oaks Academy and our additional support facility.

Your experience in teaching will be backed up with a track record of success. You will have the ability to uphold and develop upon the significant successes of this faculty and build and embrace innovative ideas within the team. You will have high aspirations and expectations for all of our students, enabling our young people to develop a range of vocational skills which enhance their own progress, and support the academy’s aspirational progress outcomes.

You will have the ability to teach aspects of DT up to GCSE level and to contribute to a wider curriculum. The ability to deliver a range of vocational courses such as construction, engineering or similar would be highly beneficial. Part of the role will be to work with other partners to shape an offer to support progress and personal outcomes for our students.
