This Role: We need a dynamic teacher to join our Art, Design and Technology (ADT) Faculty. Under the overall leadership of the Head of Faculty (who also leads Food Technology), the successful applicant will build on the established strengths of the department. The Faculty is housed in purpose-built and generously equipped accommodation over two floors of a wing of the school.
All students study Art, Design and Technology, including Food Technology during Years 7 and 8. In Year 9 students opt to study one or two creative subjects from a selection of 6 within the ADT, MFL and Expressive Arts Faculties. There are also three GCSE groups in both Years of Key Stage 4, as well as an A level group. GCSE across the ADT Faculty is thriving and successful, and staff uphold high expectations of all students. The school is committed to preserving the profile and importance of the subject through upcoming curriculum changes, and further exam groups can be added in response to demand. The Faculty comprises 7 full time teachers, 3 technicians and a faculty LSA.
Additional responsibilities may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates, and we offer NQTs employment for the last few weeks of the summer term.
