Radley College are looking for someone to join a dynamic and experienced team of five members of teaching staff and three technicians. All report to the Head of Design Engineering. There is a very friendly and convivial atmosphere among all staff and they often meet up for lunch in College Hall (free of charge during term time).

The successful applicant will be responsible for advising and supporting students in all aspects of project work. General organisation of the workshop, preparation area and stores and for ensuring their tidiness in terms of equipment, materials, giving particular attention to all Health and Safety requirements.

Design Engineering is taught to all students in Year 9 carrying out a range of design and make activities with students having experience of working in wood, plastic and metal. In addition, electronic programmable circuits and components are introduced during this year in preparation for the GCSE courses. A level product design is also offered by the department and currently there are 34 boys across the two year groups, with a broad and demanding range of projects produced.

Holidays will be the normal school holidays which is about 17 weeks per annum. Public holidays occurring during term time (usually May bank holiday only) are considered normal working days. A competitive salary is offered and will be according to experience.
