About this Organisation

Reigate College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, sixth form college situated in Reigate, Surrey. It educates students from 16-19 years on a single site, recruiting approximately 35% of learners from local partner schools.

Reigate College has approximately 2,200 learners, the majority of whom study full-time. The college has been graded 'outstanding' by Ofsted on every measure since 2005 and is consistently one of the very highest performing colleges in the country. In 2015, the college was awarded the status of National Teaching School in recognition of its 'outstanding' teacher training programme (awarded through Canterbury Christ Church University) and exceptional results. The college is part of a wider sixth form college consortium, S7, which provides excellent CPD opportunities.

Values and vision

Reigate College is an outward-looking institution that plays a big part in the local community, always aiming to work in a spirit of support and cooperation with other educational providers in the area. Staff set high expectations of students, but always in a fully supportive and welcoming environment. A wide range of educational opportunities are available to students including a large activities and enrichment programme. The college places a strong emphasis on preparing students for university, work and apprenticeships.

“Reigate College is an outstanding sixth form college [and] students’ achievement is outstanding. Leaders and governors have engendered a culture of high expectations and all aspects of the college’s work are well managed. Quality assurance arrangements are highly effective in maintaining high standard and identifying the few aspects of the college’s work that need improvement. Financial management is outstanding and this has contributed to the development of high quality accommodation and resources.”
